Sri Aurobindo Integral School (SAIS), Basundhara is a residential school for orphaned  and abandoned children.Situated on the bank of  river Mahanadi in the village Gatiroutpatna at a distance of 12 kilometers from the town of Cuttack on Cuttack Paradeep High way , SAIS,  offers education from Nursery to Class VIII..

BASUNDHARA is a voluntary organisaton registered under the Society Registration Act 1860. It was established in the year 1985 and has been working relentessly to achieve its purpose since then working as an ideal rehabilitation center for  children, women and elders in distress. Their care, shelter and long-term rehabilitation is its prime concern.

People having a safe, acceptable, affordable place to live is fundamental to the well-being of individuals, families and our community. Being part of a secure home contributes to people’s wellness and allows them to pursue what’s important to their future, whether they are growing, learning, belonging to a family, connecting to employment, participating in the community, or simply just ‘being’. Vasundhara is such an epitome of a residential institution , or group home, devoted to the care of orphans and other children who are separated from their biological families.
